Istanbul European Side

Located West of the Bosphorus on the European main land is the western half of Istanbul (Avrupa Yakası) . The European side is further divided into the districts of Bosphorus, Galata, Golden Horn, New City, Sultanahmet-Old city, Western suburbs. The cities major International Airport is in the Yesilkoy district of the European side Ataturk International Airport with near by coastal roads passing the Marmara sea along with many large shopping malls and seaside restaurants .

The pace of life in the Asian side of Istanbul is slightly slower and this part of the city is not touristy the main spots are the Kadikoy district which has developed into a lively area popular with wealthy locals for shopping, eating and entertainment. Bagdat street  is a famous street name located on the Asian side of Istanbul a one way street full of shopping malls, restaurants, cafe houses, fine clothes stores, banks, luxury car dealers and many many more shops its reaches around 10 km long.
