Istanbul European Side

The European side of Istanbul, called Avrupa Yakası, is located west of the Bosphorus. It forms the city’s western half and includes well-known districts such as the Bosphorus, Galata, Golden Horn, New City, Sultanahmet (Old City), and the western suburbs. Istanbul Airport in Arnavutköy serves as the main international airport here, offering easy access for both tourists and business visitors. Coastal roads run along the Marmara Sea, passing shopping centres, seaside restaurants, and cafes.

The pace of life in the Asian side of Istanbul is slightly slower and this part of the city is not touristy the main spots are the Kadikoy district which has developed into a lively area popular with wealthy locals for shopping, eating and entertainment. Bagdat street  is a famous street name located on the Asian side of Istanbul a one way street full of shopping malls, restaurants, cafe houses, fine clothes stores, banks, luxury car dealers and many many more shops its reaches around 10 km long.
